Tour: Costing
The
PSI Costing system provides complete functionality for five different
types of cost to meet the needs of different costing environments. System
setup modules allow the user to control the calculation method that will
be applied to any given cost.

manufactured items, real cost is calculated within the work order
based on data collection from the Shop Floor module.

PSI
Costing modules are also designed to deal with unique situations that
may be a necessary part of your business. By manipulating system controls
the user can vary the way the system will calculate certain cost commodities.
For example, work center overhead costs can be accumulated either as a
percentage of earned direct labour or as a flat rate per hour. Controls
also exist for material actual calculations, accrued revenue, and others.
The
Cost Rollup module can produce values based on standard bills and routings,
from real costs, or from Batch Control when products must be manufactured
in variable lots. These costs can then be compared to current values,
adjusted, and saved back to any of the user definable costs.
